Perhaps I should clarify what BiA is, since I'm pretty sure nobody who reads this would know. BiA is shorthand for "Barenaked in America", a movie about BNL directed by Jason Priestley. It follows the band around on the Stunt tour in 98 and the movie was released in 99. So naturally, I'd be interested in seeing it in any case. {g} But, the reason I'm extremely excited about it is that BiA is almost impossible to find. The studio that backed the film went under about a year after it came out. So it was released to Blockbuster stores and is occasionally shown on Starz, but you can't buy it anywhere unless you get it pre-viewed from Blockbuster. One of my online friends offered to get me a tape of it, and I naturally assumed that she meant a copy. So I was really shocked yesterday to find a never-been opened previewed copy from Blockbuster sitting in my mailbox.

Hope that explains things a bit. {g}
So I was waiting for Alex to leave so I could start watching Barenaked in America when I noticed that Office Space was going to be on Comedy Central. I love Office Space. It's way up there on my list of favorite movies because a) I'm cynical and b) I'm a computer engineer.... I can relate (or I know I'll be able to, unfortunately). But Office Space was lower on my priorities yesterday than BiA. Hm... perhaps I'll watch that later on tonight.

In other news, the NBC BNL coverage ROCKED my ass off yesterday. During the actual prime-time Olympics coverage, they showed a bit where the Canadian pairs skaters got to come up and play "You Really Got Me" Sale played guitar while Ed fingered and Pelletier got seriously down on the tambourine. Absolutely rocking clip.
Then after an interminable Leno, BNL came on again. "One Week"... dangit. I love the song, and even I'm getting tired of BNL playing it on TV. I was loving the footage though. I had been hoping that they'd keep going on the coverage to show the Chicken Dance at the end and then of course the Kiss. But NBC wimped out and cut to the announcers, which seriously had me pissed off. I started to forgive them slightly when they cut to commercial break with about 20 seconds of It's All Been Done and something about more from BNL later.... After the commercial break--boom--cut to the middle of Million Dollars. And Ed Robertson was playing his banjo and wearing a Canadian speedskating outfit. Yes, the skintight ones. (just so you know, I'm laughing my fucking ass off just remembering this) They cut off Steve just as he was going into "Tomorrow" though (yes, the one from Annie... damn! the man has a good voice) but I guess that was to be expected. And then right when I wasn't expecting it, at the very end of the coverage, they had Ed, Steve, and Jim say goodnight to everyone (and plug NBC too, but whaddaya expect). So NBC is okay in my book right now. (Much better then FOX...rrrrrr)

Oh ya... and Happy Valentine's Day and whatnot. We're having a singles (and I'm not single but my boyfriend is in Colorado, in Alex's case) party at Olive Garden tonight. mmmm... breadsticks and pasta e fagioli soup. I always feel guilty about liking Olive Garden because it's not exactly high cuisine, but it's pretty yummy all the same.

No CDs yet. I'm going to go check again in about an hour. The guy doesn't tend to put out the mail until late. I hope they've come today, but it'll probably tomorrow if they come this week at all.
I'm so impatient. {g}

{sigh} I hate IMing my mom. Is that wrong?
Somehow always I end up coming out of these conversations feeling extremely pissed off and stressed out. Arg.
