Notice to the Austin BNL crew
Jan. 23rd, 2004 02:35 pmBNL in Austin presale--$47 after surcharges? Ew. And it seems like the closest there is for 4 tickets (at least at the moment, and I'm just saying 4 tickets as a guess cause I don't know who all's coming) is about row 18. Which is okay, but not that fabulous.
Tickets from the Ladies Room are $40. And it's $30 for a LR membership (where $14 of that money would already be going to ticket fees, plus you get like a gift bag at the end of the year and that sort of thing...speaking of which, did they ever get those sent out?). And you're definitely going to get within the first 10 rows here in Texas. (Plus I have a LR membership already, so I can get mine and someone else's through there. And I may be able to snag other board peoples' extra tickets, which would even eliminate the whole "paying $30 for the LR" thing. See: Houston, Dianna, and CD.)
Not meaning to be pushy or anything, but that sounds like the best idea in my opinion. ;)
In any case, tickets are onsale now either of those ways. So we need to work out who's going and how we're getting tickets. <g>
Someday, I will talk about my MWF classes (which will also explain why I'm not in database systems right now). But that will take far too long for me to write before I have to get moving to stat, so I'll write it some other time.
