Spammity spam
Jul. 20th, 2004 07:10 pmI don't get people complaining about spam. Maybe it's just that I don't get much, but I always find it interesting to run through.
And in fact, spam has been very informative today.
For instance, I learned all these words from running through my yahoo bulk mail folder (I make it a point to look up words I don't know, particularly when I'm online and have no excuse for not looking them up):
- terpsichore (the art of dancing/the Greek muse of dance)
- fractious (cranky or unruly)
- perspicuity (perspicacity, clearness and lucidity)
- coadjutor (coworker, assistant)
- diacritic (diagnostic or a mark to indicate pronunciation)
I also was treated to a paragraph from Einstein's theories of relativity (the second one here).
And at the bottom of a thoughtful email offering to enlarge my M@nh0od was this very avant-garde ( poem... )
I really don't get what everyone's complaining about. ;)
