A little list...
Dec. 24th, 2004 10:19 pmYes, I'm still alive. :)
A happy list from the past week:
1. Snow! And actually cold weather! (We didn't even break freezing today here. The high was 24.)
2. Family.
3. Friends. (That's you guys.)
4. Dogs, particularly ones that prance after you change their regular collar for one that's covered in jingle bells.
5. Introducing my parents to the wonder that is Good Eats.
6. That my mom bought a box of kosher salt yesterday.
7. Saucy steak. And hash brown quiche thing. And all sorts of other recipes that'd only mean anything to our family.
8. The "finito" cabbie. (And yes, I've gotten sucked into The Amazing Race.)
9. Weathermen who use very odd metaphors: "This storm is not a surprise, we saw the whites of the eyes of this storm well in advance. The tentacles of the storm reached well into Canada before it even left the Deep South," said David Phillips, senior climatologist at Environment Canada. "Before the day's out it will be out of Ontario and into Quebec. This one has legs and is moving."
10. Walking out of the library with armfuls of books.
11. Trips, and the people at the end of them. :)
Merry Christmas (or happy Saturday), everyone!
