Aug. 26th, 2005 12:57 amAh, The Daily Show. How I love it when Jon Stewart plays hardball, particularly with pundits I dislike.
(I have a very strong irrational dislike for Christopher Hitchens. Well, it's not entirely irrational as my first exposure to him was a column someone posted on the board ("Hey, some British guy thinks the war in Iraq is a good idea!"), and then everything else I read of his was even worse. He's one of those people that annoys me most--the ones where you can tell they're capable of logical thought, but they'd rather just jump to conclusions, overgeneralize, or be condescending. (So I thought it was particularly awesome that Jon started off by joking on about how he didn't know anything and was obviously wrong and needed Hitchens to tell him why.))
On the less awesome side of things, job hunting is going slow. Blah. I just need to find something, but I'm having a hard time trying to get the sites I'm looking at to give me what I need, so I end up wading through endless postings for things that I'm either massively underqualified for or moderately overqualified, so I'm likely to miss or, if I see them, not be massively excited by the one or two that I *might* be able to do. <sigh>
Any suggestions?
Okay, I really should go to bed instead of moping about work.
