Jeez. Like, freaking hell. People, watch BSG. I'm telling you, seriously.

Yay, they're using the UK theme now! I like that much better than the US one (probably since I watched the UK versions of the first season -- I didn't even notice it was the UK theme until I got online and saw people talking about it. I'd've noticed if it was the US theme. Kind of like how I don't really taste Dr. Pepper, I just notice if the soda I'm drinking isn't. But that may mean more that I just need to cut back on my soda intake). I'm a bit sad about the montage being gone though, particularly since it means that the theme just never really goes anywhere since we never kick into the drumming.

Very little with Baltar and Six in this episode. Baltar amuses me way too much. I noticed that he doesn't seem to be being followed by Six anymore, but by the CRIB OF DOOM. The look of sheer terror on his face on seeing it out in the woods nearly made me fall off my couch in laughter.

The reveal on the teaser was certainly a "Holy shit." moment. When Gaeta said, "No contacts," there after the jump, I thought it just meant enemy contacts, so I was sitting there going, "Oh, okay, so they've escaped that, and now we get to try to save Adama and let everyone figure out where they are now." But then they showed the screen completely blank and I gaped. I think my second thought was that Tigh is having a pretty recordbreakingly shitty day. ;)

I have no idea what's going on on Caprica. Why the heck would Boomer go off on her own? Starbuck and Helo are the only unknown variables in their whole setup there, why leave them alone together?

I liked the flashbacks on Tigh and Adama's past (even though the wigs and moustaches were a little...uh). And I really liked that detail on Tigh's character there. We now have an acting CO with a bit of a death wish and *no* desire to be commanding who is going to be trying to get Adama back into service probably the moment he stabilizes.

I'm beginning to be really convinced that the arrow that Roslin wants is something that has to do with Lee, not anything on Caprica. This would be kind of a lame twist if it were the only thing going on, fortunately that's not the case. Just the way Roslin was going on about how Lee needed to get out of jail so he could make sure that Starbuck gets back fine with the arrow, and the arrow's safety is paramount because she *needs* it to be able to show where Earth is, blah blah blah. The only thing that stops me from saying it is for certain is that everything else has been terribly literal (which is probably why Roslin isn't even thinking of Lee. That or she's starting to lose it, which is also quite possible.)

The robocylons at the end there actually surprised me. I was expecting a reveal of a new humanoid cylon model like at the end of the miniseries. I'm glad they didn't since "Who's going to discover the secret?" started getting mildly old last season.

Complaints:
-- The computer technobabble. It was pretty bad there. And if there are other systems outside of the three that were behind the "last firewall" (whatever), which I'm kind of assuming there'd have to be considering the diagram they had, a) aren't all of them networked then? Galactica doesn't have networks though, and I thought it was only those 3 computers. and b) isn't anything outside of those compromised? It's not like they can go to the store to get new computers or new software. I guess they must keep recent backups?
-- When they jumped back to the fleet, everyone else had been sitting there for hours. Couldn't any or all of them have been captured/infiltrated by Cylons? I mean, if you had to blow up the Olympic Carrier in 33, why not now? I guess they weren't left in an area where there were obviously Cylons like in 33, but Galactica has no way of knowing now that nothing happened to them.

And next week doesn't look any less crazy. Yipes.

I'll be nice and put some extra spoiler space at the bottom, since this won't be airing in Canada until January(!).

Okay, that's done.

And they showed a Firefly commercial during it! Glee!

I also happened to catch Stargate Atlantis tonight since I was eating food; this was the first episode I'd ever seen of the show. I was terribly amused that they had some random device called a ZPD ZPM on there, which I think was named that just so the Canadian scientist guy could go on about the "Zed-Pee-Em". <g>
(I was also amused at myself for pegging that actor as either actually being Canadian or being very thorough in his language studies, and for picking up on the accent/cadence of someone else whose character is supposed to be American. Internet research shows that most of the main actors on the show are Canadian, go me. ;))
