seasleepyOh man, you guys. I cried so damn much. I cried at Boomer, I cried at the ship (oh god, after the last jump, when it was buckling <quibbles>), I cried at Helo, I cried at pretty much everything on Earth.... (Jerry wandered by right at the end when the camera's pulling back from Adama, and he gave me the most worried look when he saw my face.)
I liked it overall. There is going to be a lot of nerd rage about how it ended with a series of deus ex machinas. Some of which may be justified, but I liked it anyway.
The first hour was amazing. I definitely bought the danger for everyone involved.
The last hour could probably have done with some more editing (other people have made comparisons to the "oh, it's the ending OH WAIT HERE'S SOME MORE"-ishness of LOTR, which is probably accurate). And I'm going to ignore the completely and utterly over-the-top and anvilicious 150,000 years later bit at the end. Augh. Even Helfer and Callis couldn't sell it.
And at the same time my brain was yelling about what a copout it was, I was happy to see Helo in the end.
