More classes and random items

Okay, other classes:
Microcomputer systems will be my evil class, I think. The prof wasn't reassuring at all about it. It'll be interesting, and if I do end up even tolerating the subject matter, there are a bazillion jobs out there for system designers (particularly embedded, like we'll be working on). Still, the class will be evil and hard.
Computer-Human Interaction seems like it'll be really nice and interesting. Lots of presentations, but nothing too terribly difficult, I don't think. The prof reminded me of Mr. Rogers, likely due to his blue vest, sneakers, and soft-spokenness.
Random amusing items:
"BOWLING HOES MUST BE WORN" -- from a sign at the bowling alley here. Hee.
Tonight was "My dad's favorite desserts" night on Good Eats (lemon meringue pie and angel food cake).
The TMBG Venue Songs that came free with the Austin show I bought are short, but there are 31 of them, and some of them are pretty fun. Santa Cruz is rather impressively amusing in a Violin-esque way.
Amusing story I forgot to tell:
While getting things together last Friday or Saturday, Amy and Sandra were in need of picure frames, so we went to Hobby Lobby. After wandering around the store and being impressed and amused at all the things on clearance there and having some serious Girl Scout flashbacks, we finally got to the picture frames. And as we continued wandering towards the exit, we ended up in the middle of the yarn aisle. And all of us decided while standing there that we wanted to learn to knit. And so, we kind of randomly chose some yarn and then grabbed a "Learn How to Knit" book off the shelf and used it to help us pick out needles. The book was left on the shelf.
That evening, we looked up "How to Knit" on Google, and watched Buffy while trying to figure out this casting on thing.
Unfortunately, my yarn kind of sucks for knitting since it's one of those multi-colored ones that wavers between white and blue in varying shades. But then again, I suck at knitting (or at least, I suck now), so that probably works okay. <g>
