Trolls and trees

So, today was pretty quiet for the most part, although work was a little busy.
There were a whole bunch of requests coming in... I've been playing phone tag for a couple of days with one guy so I can install some software on his laptop, and then another guy had CoolWebSearch on his computer, which is a real pain to clean off, and then I got called to help out the trolls after that. And this was before lunch even! At least that last request wasn't that big of a problem. They're down on the third floor, working on some project involving bridges.... I'm not sure exactly what, but I go down to their offices and there are all these pictures up of overpasses and suspension bridges and things, and then there are some models and things too. Yeah, how cliche. I do think a bit of the office decoration is from going to visit family and things. Or maybe from house shopping. (They're both new this semester, I think, so maybe they haven't settled in. I'm mildly relieved that we aren't really near the highway. They kind of skeeve me out a bit. The ones that hang out on University at Wellborn at least generally will let you go by fine if you bring them some fries or something, but these guys seem like they'd actually want the billy goats gruff.... You know, traditionalists. I love A&M, but sometimes I wish I went somewhere that didn't attract people who are so rigidly traditional, like these guys or all the fundamentalist Christians.) Er...yeah. Rambling.
Random: on my way to class this afternoon, all the trees were glowing neon pink. I think some freshman must have screwed up his organic chem potions again (the chem building is right over by the CS building) and tried to dump it surreptitiously in the bushes. He's going to be kicking himself when he realizes that nearly all the Ag profs here speak Live Oak. I mean, it's kind of a rare dialect, but down here it's kind of hard to pass Forestry without it.
So, yeah. Not very exciting.
(And yes, it's before midnight here.)
