Uh.

I had about 3 different entries I was going to have to make run through my head between leaving the movie theater and here.

First I was going to talk about Ratatouille (which was very cute and I probably will get around to talking about it at some point).
Then I thought I would add on to that with the other movies I've seen in the last few weeks (4 all in all, which is rather amazing given how rarely I usually go to the movies).
Then I was going to talk about finding "Carry On Wayward Son" on two different radio stations in the time it took for me to come back from the theater (<10 minutes).

And then a cat followed me home. Literally.

I parked my car and saw the cat staring at me from down the sidewalk. I sat in the car and finished air guitaring to Wayward Son (shut up), then gathered my stuff and noticed the cat start to walk over towards the car. "Sorry kitty, I'm going to scare you off now," I thought and climbed out of the car. And the cat kept walking over, rubbed up against my legs, and meowed. I started walking off to my apartment. The cat followed me. I stopped and looked at it and bemusedly told it "No," as it rubbed against my legs some more. I kept walking. It kept walking. I pulled my keys out of my purse as I walked up to my door and relievedly noticed no cat as I looked around my feet.
Then I heard scritching on my doormat.
I tried to maneuver my foot between the cat and the door and unlocked it, and the cat darted in and began investigating. After it had peeked its head in all the rooms in my apartment (which thankfully doesn't take long as all I have are the living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and closet), I managed to shoo it out. Then as it meowed outside, I felt mildly bad and turned on the light and went to get it a cup of water. I opened the door to put the water outside, and the cat ran back in. I shooed it out again. I checked a few minutes ago to see if it was still out there, and it hurried out from the shadows outside but I got the door shut before it got close to getting in.

(I don't mind cats, honestly, and this seems like an amiable enough one, but I'm allergic to them enough that petting one for a few minutes will make my eyes and ears extremely itchy. Plus I don't have a pet deposit at my apartment (not having a pet). Also plus, the cat has a collar and clearly belongs to somebody. Unfortunately, it doesn't have any tags, so I don't know who.)

I think it might have left now though, just checking again.

If you see the kitty again, you should take it to a vet. There might be a good chance that it has a microchip since it doesn't have the tags anymore. I know that's what we did with Oliver, plus, if it's at the vet or pound, then it's getting some sort of food and shelter.
