I told work today that I'm moving in August. Good lord, I am glad to have that out there finally. (Although I still have to tell Jeff. But at least I've told someone.)


Also, given that I've been looking at plane tickets and storage lockers and things: omgthisisactuallygoingtohappen. In like two months exactly. Eee!
(That is an "eee" of excitement and anxiety all at once, if you could not tell.)

I've probably mentioned it a long time ago, and at that point it was still sort of a "in the distant future, assuming all goes well, this will happen." I haven't talked about it much in here because I've been paranoid about somehow getting in trouble at work. (I'm not sure how, but my brain is dumb like that sometimes. ;))
But it's been in the pipes for a while.
(My lease is up on on my apartment in mid-August, and since it's a college town, they start their re-signing season in like March, so we had to pretty much decide in general back then that it was going to be happening in August. I waited a bit after that partially to make sure that Jerry's work wasn't going to implode, but mostly I just now finally got up the courage to tell them.)

I haven't mentioned it in here lately (because of work paranoia) but I might have mentioned it to you in person -- it's been the plan for a while, we're just getting to the point where it's actually going to be happening soon now.

The overall plan is: I'll be moving up to Hamilton mid-August, we make sure Jerry and I aren't going to kill each other, get married, send off paperwork, and hopefully my permanent residency comes through quickly, so I can work up there and not be mooching off of Jerry.

Awesome! Sounds good. Now I'm going to have to figure out a way to see you before you go to the great white north. I'll be in Austin for several days for Amanda's wedding, so I'll need to be makin' a side trip. :)
