So.... this is the forecast for my parents' for the next couple of days.
What they're likely to get out of it is mostly a bunch of rain and some wind, but I think that forecast pretty much falls into DO NOT WANT category.

Heehee... yeah, this is from the NWS page for near Houston (about to get hit/glanced by Edouard).
The weird Canadian weather-ism I've noticed is it's never "partly cloudy" or "mostly cloudy," it's always "a mix of sun and cloud." ;)

I'm cautiously optimistic. I think it'll hit Houston, but I don't think it'll be

too bad. I'm just sitting in Denver trying to figure out why I'm going BACK to the storm instead of staying HERE where it's nice.
