So I'm making some hummus soon, and I decided to make chickpeas from dried, so I'm going to have a bunch more than I need for the recipe I'm using. So...
Jacki just made a lentil dish with chickpeas, and they might've been the best part of it. Tasty, adds a nice soft crunch, mmm-boy, them's good eatin'! So... put me down for 'goes well with lentils and rice'.
When I make hummus, I use half chick peas, and half black beans. I think chick peas can be bitter sometimes, so the black beans cut down on it a little. :)
Otherwise, I just like to eat them plain, or put them in salads. :D I've never used dried, though... only canned.
